We know, we know … we have been silent for a while. It takes a lot of time and energy to make marketing materials such as trailers, and we try to focus all our efforts to complete Judas.

But we also lost days to have a more direct relationship with you, gamers, so we think, “Why not start to release some log Dev?”

Through this, we hope to be able to communicate more often to update you with new details about what we are doing, without damaging too much what is done by Judas. The goal is to keep this beautiful lo-fi, which means update that is more frequent than before, but not always with a luxurious trailer and a very fine final image. (Although there will be more than that too!)

Features Update: Villainy

We just finished the main milestone: crime. Villainy is a central feature of Judas. When you play Bioshock or Bioshock Infinite, the criminal will always be a criminal. Fontaine, Comstock – They will always be a bad person. In Judas, your actions will attract Big 3 members to you as friends. But ignore one of them enough, and they became criminal. From there, they will get access to a series of new forces to undermine your actions and goals. The clip below shows a few features.

This is just one example of how the big 3 can reply. Things that are more dangerous and specific character will be kept secret, for now.

Finally, you have to make a decision about who you will focus on your energy … and who you will be alienated.

Focus on character

One of my personal favorites of all time is Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor because the gameplay that appears is possible by their enemy systems. This system allows you to develop a small relationship with many ORCs. However, their goal is a little different from us, because there are so many different ORCs and they do not have time to develop it into characters.

In Judas, you will get to know these characters closely. We want to lose one of them feel like losing friends. We want to play with that dynamics, and we want that choice to be very hard. The top 3 everything will compete for your help and attention. They can bribe you, save you in battle, talk nonsense about other characters, and share with you their darkest secret. But in the end, you must decide who you trust and who you don’t do.

In Bioshock Infinite, there is a lot of energy invested to develop your relationship with Elizabeth. At the end of the game, you know everything about him, his abilities, hopes and dreams.

But in reality he hardly knows anything about you, gamers play booker. In Judas, 3 Big observes you when you play, and they have feelings not only about how you approach battle, hacking, and crafts, but most importantly your interaction with two other characters.

As part of a crime milestone, we also complete the biggest Judas playtest, where new players experience this feature directly. Every time we test, we learn a lot, and we like to have a level of knowledge while working on the game. The examiners share a lot of valuable feedback on decision weight and how it influences their results, their interest in learning more about character motivation, and how the moment where Big 3 helps – or revive them – change their future decisions.

We are very happy to finally show off this. I have always been a big fan of Drew Struzan and the era of the movie poster. His style is good in serving films that have big players, such as Star Wars. And Judas has a big player. Outside the main role, there will likely be more than one hundred parts that speak … If you look closer, there may be some details that you might be curious. Just say there are some things in this game that we will not talk about now, but everything here is relevant.

There is one thing we believe you all want to know: When did Judas come out?!?!

Although we hope we can give you the right date today, we are not ready enough to finish it. As you know, the release date has a way to sneak, and we want to avoid having to change the date after we announce it. But we know that Judas is actually not a game until the players get it, and that is the day that everyone is doing on the team.
