Hey everyone, the last time you heard from us was back in January when we shared some interesting facts about the concept of the Ball x Pit game, its inspiration, and almost all the new content we included in the first big free update called The Regal Update. The awesome PlayStation Blog team wanted us to share with you the first details about the second free content update coming to Ball x Pit called The Shadow Update, releasing in just one week on April 27th for PS5.
Time starts to change in this update, with some new ball evolutions that freeze it and bend it completely. Expect your runs to get a little more chaotic as we introduce some new balls, passives, and characters as well as the addition of new buildings, all detailed below!
Two new characters
- Tunneller is a scrappy miner whose shots don’t stop at the edge; they wrap around the screen and come back from the other side, making almost any corner of the game fair.
- Tiptoer is a fragile but deadly ninja who is undetectable by enemies at close range at the cost of lower health and damage.
11 New Balls
- Venom builds up with each hit, slowing the target, and corroding them until enough buildup finally locks them in place with paralysis.
- Time relies on area control, dropping a time trap that freezes enemies within its range.
- Erosion cuts straight through enemies, with each hit reducing a percentage of their current health, making it especially bad against tougher targets.
- Time Bomb adds a bit of delayed chaos, planting explosives that detonate after a short wait.
- Timestop does exactly what it sounds like, freezing everything on the field for a few seconds before entering cooldown.
- Warp makes things unpredictable, flashing to random spots on the field every time an enemy takes a hit while increasing speed as time goes on.
- Sniper fire penetrates straight through enemies, but burns up when they hit a wall or circle back, trading longevity for increased critical chance that rewards precise enemy lines.
- Heart Swallower gives each attack a certain chance to drain a small amount of health and heal you while weakening the target’s attacks by a percentage, but remember each enemy can only be drained once.
Plus a few more that we won’t reveal yet…
Four new passives
- Full Metal Rapier thrives on chaos with each ball increasing its damage based on how many baby balls and enemies are on the field.
- Arrow of Fate turns defense into offense, making you immune to incoming projectiles and firing back baby ball blasts whenever you’re hit.
- Argent Stopwatch plays on momentum, starting the ball with 150% damage before reducing 30% on each bounce, so timing and position are more important than ever.
- Sword Breaker keeps things steady but measured, lowering base damage by 75% while sneakily stacking an additional 1% for each enemy in play.
1 new building
- Better start thinking about where to leave the Guildhall! This new build will allow players to replay previously selected character upgrades.
Thank you again to all the players who support and make Ball x Pit what it is! We hope you’re excited to get back to the pit when Ball x Pit: The Shadow Update releases for free next week, April 27 on PS5.
PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
