Where Winds Meet is an open world arpg that is free to play not only to be imitated but to realize the soul of Wuxia.
Wuxia is a charming genre that is usually found in fiction and theaters, featuring soldiers from ancient China that displays super human martial arts achievements, think of crouching tigers, hidden dragons or flying dagger houses. The world of Wuxia is often mistakenly combined with Kung Fu. But where the traditional Kung Fu emphasizes the mastery of realistic and disciplined martial arts, Wuxia is a smooth blend of self -defense skills, the depth of the Eastern philosophical, and aesthetic elegance. In this world, fighters glide on the roof, inner energy against gravity, and even daily objects can be a deep instrument of beauty and deadly accuracy.
The essence of this mission is the battle system, where weapons are far more than just a means of violence – this is a demonstration of character, philosophy, and art. Weapons where the wind meets is very integrated into the core gameplay of the open world of Wuxia. Players can complete two weapons simultaneously and easily switch between them during the battle. Weapons are an important component that determines the player’s fighting style; Players can learn different weapons based on their interests and replace or match flexiblely. The combination of weapons with various martial arts and internal arts forms the core elements of building character in the game.
Where Winds Meet displays a wide arms warehouse: spears, swords, double blades, rope darts, Mo knives full of puzzles, and more, each is made carefully with different weight, speed, and nuances. But among this, a person stands out as a manifestation of the spirit of wuxia – a weapon that should be impractical, but in this world it becomes a poet in a deadly movement – umbrella.

The Umbrella: Where Poetry Meets Combat
In fact, the umbrella is only a shelter in the rain, but in the world of Wuxia where the wind meets, it becomes a ship for romance and death. Soft but sharp, defensive but aggressive. Light like fur but can attack like a storm. When open, it can protect you. When closed, it becomes a knife. We got inspiration from the classic- like the Payung vs. Pole in the film Zhang Yimou, “Shadow”- but we also want to add our own taste.
The first priority for us is to ensure that even the most fantastic movements can be trusted and impact. To achieve this, we partner with the director of action Wei Tung, the winner of the Multi-Award (Hong Kong Film Awards, Golden Horse Awards) whose filmography is legendary including Fist of Fury, Kung Fu Killer, when tears passed, and Swordsman II.

Instead of relying on digital animation, Mr. Tung insisted on true martial artists who did every movement. All actions, including solo techniques, were captured with at least two action actors who interact – this maintains a sense of impact, reaction, and spatial awareness.

We use the full simultaneous body capture, requires players to carry out every movement with perfect coordination. The result is a combat system that feels visceral, intentional, and cinematically, whether you use a sword, spear or umbrella.

A living world: front seasonal trip
We believe that the world of Wuxia must continue to grow and be revealed. That is why where Winds Meet will be arranged around the seasonal update model, with every season lasting about three months and introducing new map areas, gameplay and narration to explore.
Our launch season will include two large areas – Qinghe and Kaifeng – Each with his own story, allowing players to dig deeper into the storyline of the game and reveal the past of their character.
Seasonal updates will be different in focus. Some can advance the main plot through new regions and characters, others can introduce new gameplay and activities in a limited time game, or increase social features and character development. Most importantly, we will continue to optimize and adjust the game of playing games based on feedback from the player’s community. This is the way we build this world with our players, not just for them.
