It’s not unusual to see booths at CES with people zooming around vacuum cleaner back and forth to show off the latest cleaning technology. Last year, we saw some interesting products like a self-cleaning Tineco vacuum and mop combo, an Ecovacs robot vacuum for indoors and outdoors, and the killer, a Eureka washing machine that has a robot vacuum on the bottom. What are we seeing this year? There are unique innovations ranging from AI integration to robotic arms.
The latest vacuum technology is designed to make your day to day easier. You can vacuum and even mop more quickly and efficiently than ever before, in some cases with little manual work on your part. The goal is to help you keep your home clean while giving you more time to do the things you love. Some of the most exciting vacuum innovations at CES 2025 focus on just that.

Narwal Flow has intelligent AI
The Narwal Flow series of robot vacuums offers smart cleaning technology, with features like FlowWash Mopping, EdgeReach, and Deep Carpet Boost that the company says doubles the pick-up rate compared to other similar models. It has dual water tanks to dispense fresh water and collect dirty water in a separate bin. Edge Reach ensures the mop can clean all the way to the edges of your floor, while Deep Carpet Boost uses counter-directional motion with an adaptive brush cover to extract dirt embedded deep in your carpet fibers.

The side brush is designed to direct hair onto the floating roller, removing tangles while cleaning to prevent clogging. It is equipped with two RGB cameras and a 10 TOPS AI chip to recognize more than 200 different objects to avoid them and ensure precise navigation. Equipped with an eight-in-one multifunction base that automates emptying, mop washing, drying, and even refilling the water tank so you can enjoy a seamless cleaning experience for up to 120 days.
The Roborock Saros S70 has a mechanical arm
If you’re always telling your kids to pick up their socks from the floor, you might like the concept behind the Roborock Saros X70. It has an OmniGrip five-axis mechanical arm that folds and can extend to pick up objects from the floor (weighing up to 300 grams) and place them in specific locations. Think not only of socks but also items like cords, small toys, even slippers that may be scattered on the floor. It works using dual cameras on the mechanical arm and front of the vacuum cleaner as well as LED lights that ensure accuracy when picking up items.
This robot vacuum also has built-in AI technology, which includes recognition of 108 different objects and customizable AI recognition so you can pinpoint and label up to 50 common items frequently found in your home. (The latter will be available via an over-the-air update). You can control the mechanical arm manually or even remotely using the Roborock app. It also has 3D sensing for precise mapping, an anti-crease system, riser side brushes, and 22,000Pa suction power.

Dreame’s new vacancy may reach a small threshold
Dreame also showed off its own vacuum concept with a robotic arm. But the brand’s showstopper beyond the “cool factor” of a robot vacuum with its own articulating arm is the new Dreame X50 Ultra robot vacuum. It uses a ProLeap system that allows it to climb to navigate 6 cm high thresholds, such as small ramps between floors. (I have one of these between my dining room and the entrance to the kitchen that no other robot mop can clean.) This also means it can navigate or get around small objects on the floor. VersaLift Navigation includes advanced DToF LiDAR for intelligent navigation under low furniture as well.
The vacuum cleaner has a 360° scanning sensor for intelligent mapping of your home. There is an anti-tangle brush and Dual Flex Arm technology to clean to the edges of the room. With Matter support, you can also integrate it with your smart home.
Eureka J15 Max Ultra can detect transparent liquids & detangle hair
What makes this robot vacuum stand out is its transparent liquid stain detection technology and IntelliView AI 2.0, which can detect wet dirt and adjust its cleaning accordingly. It works using an advanced infrared vision system and an FHD vision sensor that takes HD images of objects and their surface structure, determining which objects are unaffected by ambient light or lighting variations. Images are processed using an AI algorithm that detects subtle differences in reflections and texture to determine what is fluid and what is not.

Vacuum cleaners can also detect pet waste and avoid it. Additionally, you can use the built-in camera to monitor your pets remotely. One of its most interesting features is an anti-tangle system called FlexiRazor that not only prevents hair from tangling around the brush, but also cuts it inward and sucks smaller pieces of hair into the main housing so you don’t have to remove them. -tangle manually. There’s also an extendable side brush and mop to reach tight corners and ObstaCross technology to navigate thresholds as high as 1.18 inches. It glides smoothly over thresholds, has a powerful 22,000 Pa suction system, and comes with a self-cleaning base station.
The Ecovacs Deebot X8 Pro Omni has mop rollers that continuously wash themselves
There are many vacuum and mop combination units with self-cleaning to help simplify the post-job cleaning process. While there is still some manual work to be done, it is a long way from emptying and cleaning large buckets of water and washing upright mops. Ecovavs Deebot
This makes cleaning easier and ensures you don’t carry dirt from one floor of your house or floor to another. The mop roller also offers increased pressure at 4,000 Pa and rotation speed at 200 rpm to tackle tough stains. For the dry vacuum, you get 18,000Pa suction power and an anti-tangle brush. Additional features you’ll find in this robot vacuum and mop include advances in LiDAR navigation and AI object recognition, as well as side brushes that better reach wall corners and baseboards.
The Scosche ScoVac High-Power Mini-Vacuum/Duster is a handy portable vacuum cleaner
Looking for something to clean your car, curtains, or mattress? It’s not a robot vacuum, but it’s an innovative entry in vacuuming that’s worth mentioning. Many cordless vacuums have heads that can be removed to convert into handheld units as well. But this adorable mini vacuum cleaner and duster is great to keep in your trunk or bedroom closet for quick cleaning jobs. It weighs only 0.85 lbs. but offers 12,000Pa suction power to remove dirt and debris.

The silent vacuum cleaner runs on a rechargeable battery that lasts about 32 minutes in Eco Mode and 16 minutes in Turbo mode. So, you can get those crumbs out of the backseat before your next trip or give your mattress a pass before putting the clean sheets back on. This handheld vacuum cleaner is also ideal for boats and RVs. You can even use it to blow dust off laptop keyboards or other delicate electronic devices, inflate air mattresses, and more. It comes with eight attachments, a pair of washable HEPA filters, and a 20W 12V USB-C car charger and cable for use on the go. Everything is neatly packaged in the included zippered carrying case.
Robot vacuum cleaners are smarter, more powerful and save more time
Robot vacuum cleaners have been around for a long time. But innovation in this category is moving at a rapid pace. Many models now not only combine the functions of wet mopping and dry vacuuming, but are also equipped with self-emptying docks. Self-cleaning and drying technology is one of the latest trends, further simplifying the cleaning process. With the latest AI for navigation and precise object detection, as well as interesting concepts like robot arms, it robot vacuum cleaner keeps getting more exciting.
